Changing the rules of what I ate saw me lose 2 stone (28lbs) in 2 months

But I resisted the change because it went against everything I had been told and believed

Last week at Badminton, I saw where else I resisted change and being told what to do. I go to Badminton every Monday and Thursday just for the hell of it because I find that sport so much fun. I feel just like a kid again. So here I was happily playing and loving the feeling of running all Ninja like smashing the shuttlecock back again and again, having to bend down and pick it up was becoming less. I could feel a little more satisfied that I was slowly improving. Then along came the instructor to give us some advanced tips and new techniques.


He was showing us how to get a stronger shot and get it to go further, and have far more chance of hitting it back and it landing where we wanted it to land. With that he was asking me to change the whole routine of dance steps that I had worked out for myself, and what I thought looked like some improvement and mediocre success.


I did these new steps slowly at first, practicing what he suggested, It seemed and felt all wrong, My body was in the habit of doing it another way. I resisted, yet I knew he was right so I practiced over and over for the hour we had left. I turned in the opposite direction that I would have habitually gone. I raised my racket and hit hard. It struck home exactly where I intended it to go and I experienced the difference it made with this new technique.


I kept practicing, over and over and I got more consistent and had a far better game of badminton. I enjoyed it more and more and it was all a lot less effort. The Ninja me was back and having the time of her life.


This reminded me of my resistance from when I changed what and how I ate, I learned how to eat again for my own individual body design. To follow my Body Code Food Group was to have my very own food code which had been set out for me by the Body Code method. I had to change the rules and do what I was resistant to get better results. For myself, I discovered that I was predisposed to eat more fat. The best food group for me included more fat, OMG who knew? which seemed bizarre as I had avoided fat for decades. Yet here I was being shown that it would help me access the fat cells and allow my body to run on the fuel I was predisposed and designed to run very efficiently on. This was all taken from answering questions about my physical symptoms highlighting the hormones and chemical culprits at play in my body causing these physical symptoms, mainly stubborn excess weight, fatigue, belly bloating. I started to practice but resisted the whole concept, got tied up in knots from what I believed and had been taught for so long, but that was clearly not working for me as I could not lose the 2 stone and the weight I so desperately wanted to hit.


I was impatient with my new way of eating and often questioned it and saw myself going back to the trusted way, of starvation and grains and the vegetables I thought were good, but now I know that ruined every chance of me losing weight. They contained the wrong fuel for my Body Code design and stopped any chance of my stored fat to be released.


I continued for 2 weeks then saw a remarkable change, dresses I loved were loose around me, trousers and jeans I had not worn for decades were easily fitting, I liked the reflection I saw in the mirror, I felt confident and I loved the way I was eating. I found it so satisfying and I ate better than I had in years.


Sometimes you just have to listen to a new way. This was an advanced dance step it took time to learn but when I did it changed the way I felt in my body entirely and so quickly.


What I did exactly was; First I reset my entire body and digestion system with a 7 Day Detox and Cleanse. Body conscious girls start early on the weight loss detox and diet path

I get it! I have been on diets since I was 12 years old, and I felt so uncomfortable and self conscious about my body, for what seems like my whole life. So I get it! That why I started my weight loss detox retreat here in France.

I was 12 years old sitting on the kitchen work surface watching my Mum do the ironing, enjoying a hot chocolate and some cheese after school, when I was told that I had to watch what I ate from now on or I would get fat and no body loves a fat girl, and also regularly being told you will never lose the fat once it starts. So I went on my first diet, I went cold turkey and stopped all the sauces, sugars, milk, cream, cheese, white bread and banned nearly everything that I loved in one day.

I started early with the diet mentality and learned to see certain foods as BAD. I followed my Mums understanding about how weight happened on the body, and put my faith and body in the hands of hundreds of so called experts and specialists who promised that that would manage my weight. Funny thing was at my young age of 12, I was not even fat, I was normal, even skinny. It was the fear of being fat that my mother often repeated to me that caught my attention. “You have to watch what you eat now or you will be fat, and never be able to lose it later”. Powerful words that stuck with me as a 12 year old and that have followed me around like a lead weight ever since.

This developed into a feeling of not being good enough and constantly comparing myself to others, who was fat, who was thin? Who was popular? What did they eat? Why was I fat? Why was it that I could pinch an inch? I was extremely shy and not at all confident in crowds of people, which I now know only too well as my social phobia born from having No body confidence what so ever. My fear of how I will come across, or how I will be judged, for my body shape and size plagued my thoughts. Had me in tears at many business events when I had to do a presentation. I knew my stuff but I did not want to be judged on my looks alone. Would I be rejected, left alone and look like a fool, laughed at, and teased – so maybe It is just easier to not to turn up. It was so painful to be out in front of crowds, the worst of all my times as a teenager was when I was in college.

When I was 17 and at College, I had to walk the walk of death – every day into the huge canteen, table and tables filled with cocky over self confident students, and I felt I was looking for ages to find the table with the gang of friends I hung out with. I found ways to cover up, I had a Cleopatra hair cut, that perfectly hid my face if I bowed my head, my hair would drop perfectly to cover my face like drawing the curtains. I also had a huge oversized coat and hood that I could happily hide inside. I was painfully shy and sat at the tables amongst my friends. But when I heard something funny I could not help myself, I giggled and laughed out loud. (my signature laugh) No body believed it came from me, such a naughty, dirty and mischievous laugh from the mouse who never spoke. Somewhere inside I was desperate to be a different girl.

As I developed I was always conscious of my body and felt a little bit lost, excluded and different. I hid away and felt I needed something I could control, that became my food. I learnt about food and got to know all about food and being ‘the perfectionist’ towards my food and health, now it even has a recognised term which is known as orthorexia. I was choosing only the best organic, raw, in season, locally grown vegetables, not drinking or smoking, choosing water of a certain pH and mineral content. I had no vices. I was pure as the driven snow. But also I felt so bloody bored and out of my mind and totally antisocial for being a health food fanatic and goody two shoes. Where had I gone? I had gone from hiding, to controlling myself to be accepted with food. I felt like I had become a fraud, because all I really wanted was to be wild, and run riot, to be the rebel and be the cheeky girl I knew I was inside.…

I have happily since then forgotten more than I ever learnt about food, the digestion and all the diet rules (on purpose) and found freedom with food and in myself.

And today, because I feel so saddened to see so many smart capable women, struggling with their bodies and food, and hiding behind their perfect yet vulnerable masks, but behind the scenes still struggling with exactly that same issues as I had. Their weight and bodies crying for them to see the link and do everything they can to become that real woman she has been craving to be and feel vibrant and ALIVE.

You see, I don’t care how fat or thin women are today, I just want you to enjoy every god given moment and to feel utterly ALIVE in your bodies.

When I discovered the way to be at peace with food, and be at peace with myself, I unblocked so much of what had held me trapped. I began to consciously create for myself a body I felt utterly free in and how to enjoy my food once again. Such freedom came from small simple tasks daily that allowed me to create the body and life I wanted to live.

How clean eating was a trap to my healthy eating mental disorder – ORTHOREXIA


Are you on a healthy eating quest, a track that promises to bring you all the energy that you need, and that promises a better leaner fitter body?


Back in 2000 I started on an extremely healthy food path, and it became an obsession, as I became judgmental about food more so than I had ever been, believing what I ate was the best way and the only way everyone should eat. I was a right pain in the ass I’m sure. It was a long phase that I went into willingly… but now I know I went in so deeply for all the wrong reasons.


I understand now that this amount of obsession can be described as an eating disorder and which then indicates that it could lead to or has already come from some mental health issues. My quest for perfection with my energy, and my body has brought me full circle in my journey to recognize what it is that I was missing and what I needed rather than looking at food to be the cure for the feeling of lack of control I had.


Being a painfully shy girl, and finding it difficult to freely express myself without the fear and dread of the ‘fall out’ It would cause if I did say what I thought, and having lost all my ease to be playful, I sought out a way to control something. That ended up being my food. I found that being healthy and raw brought with it a tribe of similar thinking women, and my need to belong was fulfilled. I had a tribe of woman who thought and talked like I did. I mattered for the first time in my life on what felt like a big scale.


I followed the Perfect God Given Pure Food Good Mood Raw Detox Diet for years. I even taught about raw organic, vegan food and the gut, the bacteria, the enzymes, the electrolytes, the probiotics, the body pH, the water quality, IT sucked the fun right out of my life and mirrored what I was really trying to control in my life. The fun had been sucked away from me I was practical, serious, efficient, hard working, and put in a lot I mean a lot of effort to lake things right and I never saw the link, not until I was metabolically at an all time low. My body gave up I was exhausted, I got skin t-rashes, back problems, ovarian cysts my body was screaming for me to stop.


It was not what I was eating so much as what was eating me?


I was fucked off bored and not in a relationship that I fantasized about. But I was looking to sort all that out with restricting and being elitist extreme about food. I was having no fun and I was dead inside.


This was what ORTHOREXIA did for me, a trap and obsession of eating only the healthiest food can be described as a mental disorder, but it showed me that it was just a mirror of what was happening in my everyday life.


I strongly believe that ‘as you are with one thing, so you are with everything’, so this taught me and I saw that I had to change, and let go of all the beliefs I had been taught about food, let go of my perspective of healthy because I was far from healthy even if I was eating the 90{6a14cc849908c46212f3d2c8a81eada984febec31535ea1cc7f55de4f8a4ba8e} best foods on the planet.


It was hard to switch off the habit and beliefs but I found a way and I now help and support women to come home to their bodies and learn to eat and enjoy food again. Be healthier than ever and enjoy a strong lean flexible body that feels energized, ALIVE and fun to be in again.


A woman who feels confident in her body and in her own skin, is far more vibrant and attractive than a women seeking physical perfection at all cost, using food to control her body and how she feels, who’s energy is one that comes from judgment and restriction.


I was still overeating on healthy food, I was still seeking fulfillment and using food to fill the gaps, be that junk or healthy food there was still a huge chunk missing. Finding this missing nutrient saved my life. Being able to feel ALIVE in my body and enjoy my life is far, far better than creating the perfect meal that gives me the exact number of nutrients needed in my day. That’s a life-killing recipe for sure.

2 years ago if you’d have told me that I would be happy or grateful that I had gained 2 dress sizes and struggled to shift the weight, I would have laughed at you but more likely I would have cried ‘Ugh!’ and said ‘I never wanted this to happen, I hate this, I’m so ashamed’.


I was struggling to lose weight and fit into the clothes I once loved, I seriously thought Id tried everything and reduced my food intake to a minimum. I was utterly frustrated and embarrassed let alone starving. I was the Detox Guru and Raw food retreat host and I could not fathom why on earth I was not able to do this. The trouble was I was working around the clock on the go all day and catering for my boys all night, Managing a growing business and being a GOOD mother, as well as being chief house maid, dog walker and constant bottle washer.


When I discovered the crucial element that put all the pieces together for me I was excited to say the least. My body had chosen to show me an alternative route as to why I had gained this weight. She knew that THIS would get my full attention.

As someone who can hear the Body’s Whispers, I re-connected and tuned into my body, she showed me where I was really starving and what I was lacking the most and see what I seriously needed to put into play, not with any food aspect but in my life.

I started a series of open discussions with her (my body ) about my complete and utter disappointment in her betrayal of me, against my hardest efforts to stay slim.

She replied to me that the weight was in part a reflection of my thoughts, my complete avoidance of myself and my ridged beliefs and mindset towards my body and health, “there is an easier way” she said.

She was getting me to understand that I could change my body by how I felt, and that I had not felt satisfied for a long time, I was stressed and my thoughts were very critical, I was in a struggle mindset and that had led to feelings of being a victim.

My body had whispered the truth to me that I had needed to hear. Wow I was grateful for the warning and the hard lesson. I had certainly not listened to softer more gentle prods before. So now she had brought out the big guns or the heavy duty weight artillery. I was lost and I wanted more than anything to provide, support my boys but more than that I wanted to have life flooding through my veins and be able to live the S#*T out of my life and not be the serious, hard working boring practical woman I had turned into.

5 years on and I am in the best physical shape ever, I have lost 2 stone (128lbs), I feel lighter all round and l have maintained my energy and weight goal over the last 3 years, without depriving myself of foods I love or being on a diet, going anywhere a gym, spin class or treadmill. So by now I know a thing or two about what it takes to set goals and achieve them without the need for any fancy kit.

I have always been like the mad march hare, running and rushing and bounding around. On my 30th Birthday ( a few decades ago ) my team that I managed gave me a bar of chocolate from the advert ‘Cadburys Caramel Rabbit’ – This was to show me that I needed to chill out and slow down – more haste less speed…… The advert for this chocolate showed this rabbit getting into her slower relaxed wiser self, and as she slowed down she achieved far more.


Yet here I was in 2014 at age 50 and …. I was still running and fitting in as much as I could in my day, I hated LAZY and did everything I could to feel at the end of the day, that I had achieved something that could be seen, so that I felt satisfied. I was certainly a busy bee and over thinking and certainly over doing;

The key problem that I faced with all this rushing around was that I lacked energy, and I was gaining belly fat, even although I dieted and detoxed and ate far less that most other people I knew. I was hugely embarrassed and felt judged as I was after all ‘The Detox Guru’, and ran retreats and promoted healthy food and yet struggled with my own belly. I did not know how much more of this I could take.


What I came to discover was and soon realized was that I had been looking at this from the wrong angle.


On my road to be a body whisperer I knew there was more to this than just food. So, when I heard and what I was made to understand by my own body, made me know that there certainly was more behind the scenes than the food, so it was true. I tuned in and interpreted what my body had been whispering to me all along, I soon got the hang of it and felt that it was the rushing around and looking and being busy had actually caused the belly fat and acted as my tactic to no see what was right in front of my face.

I was running high stress, On one level the stress hormone Cortisol was racing around my body, and this hormone is responsible more than any other, for the laying down of more belly fat. But the interesting information was that my body had used that as a way to get my attention to tell me something else really and vitally important.

All this rushing around was having a chronic effect on my body and soul. If I wanted to stop the belly expanding and reverse the symptoms I would have to stop this frantic race and start acting as the smarter wiser woman, and consult my body and inner self more often.


What I discovered was that as I relaxed slowed down and re connected to the needs of my body the results became very noticeable indeed. I dropped 2 stone in 2 months and I am a completely different woman. I did the simplest thing possible – I followed a practice that sets me up even today. I am more comfortable, so I am less irritable, more present with my children and efficient with my business. I have become the woman that indended to be.

LAST WEEKEND – Beach Bikini Melt Down !

Last weekend, I remembered this very same date and weekend 4 years ago, in 2013. I was begged by my boys to go to the lake where we live to go and swim with them, so they could jump off the pontoon at the fresh water Lake, and they could meet their friends from school.


All the other Mums would be there on the beach, and I felt immediately sick to the stomach, exposed and embarrassed. I wanted a hole to swallow me up, I cried tears as I got changed into my bikini, I had only bought and worn the year before, now 2 sizes too small. I felt so uncomfortable and prayed for rain, a tornado or some disaster rather than go to the beach.


That day I made the decision that “I Can, I Will and Watch Me” that I would slim down to my preferred size, and uncover what had blocked and stopped me before from reaching and staying at this lighter version of myself. The woman I had dreamt about being so many times. I was going to do everything it took to do this for myself, never to have to feel this humiliated again.


So when I made this decision, I also made a new contract with myself to create great health in my body, and reconstruct my body from a mental as well as a physical and emotional perspective, overcoming the undercurrent that caused many of my long term sabotaging behaviors. I signed and dated the contract and I never looked back.

This decision and journey developed me even further as a Body Whisperer. I discovered and saw clearly for the first time how my mindset and perspective could propel me forward, or drag me right back down.


There is nothing more responsive to your thoughts than your body


I practiced every day with the 4 pillars I knew worked and do you know what, I felt different on the inside. I saw a difference and I steadily re shaped my body from the inside out until she reflected my thoughts and energy on the inside. My taste buds changed and I was only attracted to the foods that my body wanted, and I knew when I was satisfied, so that I could sculpt this new version of myself. It took 2 months of constant practice to drop 2 stone as well as change my mindset and energy towards my body.

This was the best experience I could have hoped for, and why I am dedicated to support women as they release their old behaviors, that keep them trapped in bodies that they wish they could escape from.

Today I’m going to talk you through how to use this simple formula to reshape and rest your body, so that you can slip into something much more comfortable than you are in today.


So why do I feel you wont do it? Because I’ve seen it. It’s so simple that its actually hard?

I’ll hear you say -“Where is the effort?”, “I have never done this before I can’t keep it up” “It’s impossible”.

You believe its not that easy, or even possible, and you know that there is more to it than just food in and food out so there has to be something behind your weight that is stopping and blocking you from losing weight.

So lets have a look at the steps that will support you as you release what’s stopping you and re set yourself from the inside out, so that you can embody the woman you always dreamt you could be and you intended to BE.


Step 1: It’s About YOU

Create less stress in your day. I know easier said than done, but if you don’t know what causes the stress, I can bet that don’t know what triggers you , how that feels in your body, and your either running away or finding fights to have just to avoid the obvious.


Do you know how you feel what level of stress you are at right now, I bet not. So from 1 to 10 (1 being low and 10 being high) where are you?


Stress in the body creates and stores fat. FULL STOP. The chemicals and hormones that flood into and around the body when you are stressed, are there to protect you and have to put all that toxic adrenalin, insulin and hormones in, so that you can run and battle, if they are not used up they are stored in fat cells. Our lives are full of stress, deadlines, alarms, threats on the TV, violence in films, noise, jobs, finances etc, etc, etc.


Find your personal triggers, what stresses someone out may not be the same for you, some love the thrills and chills and survive on them, whilst others like no excitement or thrills or even spontaneity, they literally cant cope.

Now any number of things can cause stress so try now to list the top things that Stress you out?

I know, I get it, that you think that a diet will give you back your body and all the energy you crave, that it will miraculously create the body you have always wanted. So that you can go and do all the things that you are not doing now, and be the woman you have always dreamt of being, You are so hopeful that this diet will do it for you and it feels great to start and prepare everything it feels almost exciting.

Unfortunately, It’s not going to work.

I know because I tried.

When I was struggling to lose weight and having no lasting success. I LONGED for the solution to fall into my lap, be told the secret from a friend who had managed what I could not.

The constant thoughts about how I looked followed me around like a black cloud hovering over me, always on my mind making me self conscious and undermining my confidence, even in things I knew I was good at. I would end up obsessing, planning, promising myself this time it would be different – I would stick at it forever if it worked and never veer off.

It was not helpful in the least.

So yes the diet, the gym or the retreat you are planning, may give you temporary relief and give you new hope, but in the long run nothing will change because you are still avoiding the real situation. The situation that has you eating when you are stressed, emotional and in the wrong energy and mindset, You literally create fat to be stored in the body.

Are you still hoping that everything will magically change without having to do anything other than diet?.


Your problems will only go away once you know what causes them and confront them.

It’s as simple and as hard as that.


So what kind of woman will you choose to become in the next phase of your life. One who is in the body she created and uncovered for herself and lives the shit out of life as she intended, or one who tried yet another patch up diet.


I believe in you, and I believe that you can do this – but you need the right questions, the mindset and to be caught when you think those thoughts and to be pulled through to the other side, show you the traps your falling in time and time again. When looking to reduce and release the belly fat, that very belly fat that has been created over time and as a consequence due to our unconscious and having no awareness that our personal power as at the route cause of the manifestation of this protection that the body set up for us.

We have already established that the body has continuously lain down fat as a protection on our belly, soft belly fat like spare tyres, due to her feeling vulnerable and giving away her personal power and allowing situations and circumstances to influence her. Where as hard belly fat can be attributed to the over excess of power and ego, and need for being in control. This is more masculine energy and has the fat deposited behind the abdomen wall as hard visceral fat.


To release these types of fat certain behaviors need to change so that we can let go and release our old conditioning, habits and responses and so it takes a while to see the changes on the outside as the changes happen on the inside first.

Following a practice that allows you to balance the energy in the 3rd chakra and be consciously aware of your personal power, will stop the Yo Yo effect and get to alter the real cause of the body creating and holding onto fat.


This is a journey and shows you how you become a master of your own body, by following and making your soul the master navigator, and learning to listen to your bodies guidance, by tuning into your Body Wisdom more and more frequently.


Following a disciplined program of food and exercise and building in so many beliefs about food and your body has truly set you back. Its time to reset and re program your body into the freedom state, the state that allows your body to release weight and belly fat, It’s a practice for you to build on like it was a religion until you can stand at the buffet table and follow your gaze and bodies wisdom as to what is best for you right now, altering your behaviors and habits so that the body no longer creates the fat in the first place, or has you craving foods that create the fat.


This practice works on your personal power from the inside out and needs consistency, its different from what you have tried before, and it takes a new skill and patience but the rewards are better than you could ever have expected. The primary 40 days are essential to be committed to take care of yourself and put in place the action steps that will bring the internal results into visibility, and the physical manifestations. After 40 days it becomes easier as this practice is already created as a habit and once you see the results you are fortified, and motivated to continue with this new belief.


I know you are an intelligent woman and can clearly see the link, and that there is no coincidence that the softness of the internal work is now a reflection of the softness of the external and outer world. (i.e. the flabby belly).


Take a quick look as the people you know and do your own personal survey and see who fits into this category. When I did this, I saw instantly that you could read some ones body as to what their character is, and where their personal power was or was not. I had friends that I could see matched this perfectly, they were tight and streamlined and yet never exercised, these ladies were focused, took their time, took care of themselves, took no crap from other people, stated what they wanted and got it too. They spoke freely and knew what they wanted, what they needed and when they lacked something they went to get it for themselves. Their boundaries were taken care of. And on the opposite spectrum, I had friends that would bend over backwards to be helpful and to be liked, and throw them selves away and never consider what they wanted or needed, and their weight reflected the inner power struggle that they had going on. To add to that their obsession with their body and self hatred, and frustration with not keeping the weight off baffled them, and took their vibration lower and lower, and they got more and more of what they complained about. That was the law of attraction in action and giving them back what they broadcast.


I have been proud to watch my clients see and become consciously aware of their own personal power or lack of power, and when they have it and when they don’t, many now tune into their bodies and get feed back to guide them in daily decision making, On what exactly feels the better choice. Their weight and belly balances out to the level that they are at with their personal power. Their lives become sweeter and more pleasurable. Relationships improve and their career take off as well as their body becomes a thing of wonder and the create the ultimate body connection.

Just recently I finished an extra course in the psychology of eating, just out of curiosity and to further my education of what’s new. I must say it goes along really nicely with what I have always felt and have come to believe.

Its not so much what or how you eat that seems to matter. Even stronger than that, it is often not even food that we are even craving. Yet it’s our habitual use of food and its repetition, and not looking for the real fulfillment, that keeps us all hooked on the things we have always used to sooth our soul. The end result is that there’s a vast number of people ( I’ve already admitted my pain) struggling with eating challenges and unhappy with who they are and how they feel.

And we all need help.
